The project for the Polish headquarters of three Skanska Group companies, realised in the Atrium 1 building at 17 Jana Pawła II Street in Warsaw, has won an award in the Eurobuild Awards in Architecture. The plebiscite was organised for the first time by the editors of Eurobuild Central & Eastern Europe magazine and the Association of Polish Architects. The awards were handed out on 14 September, during the Architecture Festival gala at the SARP headquarters at 2 Foksal Street in Warsaw.

The arrangement of the 1,100-square-metre office is in line with the Workplaces by Skanska programme, based on continuous improvement of the workplace. We started from the assumption that spaces are not assigned to people, but to the tasks carried out. Hence, Skanska’s offices include spaces for creative work, quiet work, conference rooms, telephone rooms, teleconference rooms, a games room and a kitchen, with clear separation of functions and efficient communication.

As the tenant itself emphasises, the office project was created on the basis of Skanska’s values and has become the company’s showroom in Poland. The efforts of the investor and our team to develop model solutions in shaping the office workspace have been recognised and honoured with an award in the Eurobuild Awards in Architecture competition, awarded in the well attended Workplace Design category. The competition jury of investors and architects chose from among the 19 entries. We are delighted with the award and thank the investor for the fruitful cooperation!
